Family Portraits in Newfoundland | The Ryan’s | Kings Cove, Newfoundland

Meet the Ryan’s! A large bunch of awesome people! They aren’t all Ryan’s any more (what with all 3 beautiful ladies finding husbands) but that’s how they started out. Ashley contacted me a while back to see if I would go to King’s Cove to shoot a family session when all of her siblings and their kids would all be in the one place. I had the perfect backdrop in mind. The night before the photos Ashley asked if the wind would be a problem. I was in Clarenville. There wasn’t a single breath of wind. That’s because ALL of the wind was in King’s Cove. The sun was brighter than I have ever seen, and there literally wasn’t a single cloud in the sky to help the squinty eye situation. Luckily we were all flexible and Alaina lived nearby in a beautiful house with a great yard that had no wind, and slightly less sun! Once we got settled, we had a great session and I am so glad that we decided to abandon the ocean backdrop because I think these photos are lovely (and far less squinty than they might have been!)

It was great seeing you and catching up with everyone! Don’t get too homesick in Alberta Ashley and Corrina! I know just how you feel!

XO,
Amy
